{"id":376,"date":"2015-04-30T18:04:44","date_gmt":"2015-04-30T16:04:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.safesportid.com\/blog\/?p=376"},"modified":"2017-12-19T17:20:30","modified_gmt":"2017-12-19T15:20:30","slug":"triatlon-y-diabetes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.safesportid.com\/blog\/es\/salud\/triatlon-y-diabetes\/","title":{"rendered":"Triatl\u00f3n y Diabetes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Si eres diab\u00e9tico y triatleta, siempre debes llevar una <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.safesportid.com\/es\/pulseras-identificativas-alergias\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>identificaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica<\/strong><\/a><strong> para que te puedan ayudar de forma r\u00e1pida y eficaz en caso de emergencia. <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Si tienes <strong>diabetes tipo 1<\/strong>, terminar un triatl\u00f3n un gran reto para tu nivel de az\u00facar. Un triatl\u00f3n no solo significa un nivel de esfuerzo muy alto sino adem\u00e1s de larga duraci\u00f3n y esto requiere un control especial si tienes diabetes. Si tomas las precauciones adecuadas, la diabetes no debe ser motivo para no participar en un triatl\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El triple reto de nataci\u00f3n, ciclismo y running suena bastante dif\u00edcil de manejar, pero se puede hacer con una buena estrategia basada en prueba y error que te permite averiguar qu\u00e9 m\u00e9todo funciona mejor para ti.<\/p>\n<p>Llevar un <a href=\"http:\/\/diabetes.niddk.nih.gov\/DM\/PUBS\/glucosemonitor\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Monitor Continuo de Glucosa (CGM)<\/a> tiene muchas ventajas si compites y algunos incluso son resistentes al agua. Te permite controlar tu nivel de az\u00facar en cada momento durante una carrera.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Entrenamiento<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Cada uno de los tres deportes puede tener un impacto diferente en tu nivel de az\u00facar y requiere planteamientos diferentes, especialmente si entrenas los tres durante el mismo d\u00eda. La nataci\u00f3n reducir\u00e1 dr\u00e1sticamente tu glucosa y es recomendable <strong>iniciar este ejercicio en un nivel relativamente alto, entorno a los 12 mmol\/l<\/strong> (215 mg\/dl).<\/p>\n<p>Durante tu entrenamiento, especialmente si eres novato, debes <strong>parar cada 30 minutos<\/strong> y medir tu nivel de az\u00facar. Comer hidratos de carbono o az\u00facar durante y despu\u00e9s de tu entrenamiento te ayudar\u00e1 a evitar una bajada de az\u00facar.<\/p>\n<p>El Running tiene efectos diferentes en diab\u00e9ticos, pero comprobar tu nivel de az\u00facar antes y despu\u00e9s del entrenamiento ser\u00e1 necesario en todos los casos. Esto te permite sacar tus <strong>propias conclusiones para dosificar tu insulina<\/strong> y que cantidades de hidratos de carbono debes comer durante y\/o despu\u00e9s de tu entrenamiento.<\/p>\n<p>En el ciclismo es probable que tengas que hacer paradas para ajustar tu nivel de az\u00facar. Esto es especialmente importante si practicas este deporte como tercero consecutivo el mismo d\u00eda ya que el agotamiento tendr\u00e1 un impacto directo a tu nivel de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>El d\u00eda de la carrera<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Parar durante un triatl\u00f3n para analizar tu sangre puede ser aparatoso si no llevas un CGM, especialmente en una competici\u00f3n. Sin embargo <strong>es estrictamente necesario que revises tu nivel de az\u00facar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Tu dieta depender\u00e1 de la distancia de la carrera, pero te recomendamos que empieces con un desayuno ligero que no requiere una toma de insulina.<\/p>\n<p>C<strong>omer poco y muchas veces<\/strong> siempre es recomendable ya que no querr\u00e1s competir con el est\u00f3mago lleno y te ayudar\u00e1 a mantener tus niveles de glucosa m\u00e1s estables.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, si tu nivel de glucosa es demasiado alto, te sentir\u00e1s cansado y tendr\u00e1s sed, cosa que aumenta tu frecuencia card\u00edaca y bajar\u00e1 tu energ\u00eda, as\u00ed que encontrar el equilibrio es clave.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Nataci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Debes iniciar la nataci\u00f3n c<strong>on un nivel alrededor de 14 mmol\/l<\/strong> para acabar en un nivel manejable. Este nivel est\u00e1 por encima de nuestra recomendaci\u00f3n anterior porque necesitar\u00e1s reservas para los esfuerzos que vienen despu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Lleva peque\u00f1as dosis de glucosa en tu neopreno o ba\u00f1ador para emergencias. Si te sientes flojo y puedes, haz un test, sino, sigue tu intuici\u00f3n y come algo de az\u00facar.<\/p>\n<p>Muchos triatletas, cuando salen del agua, encuentran la transici\u00f3n a la bici psicol\u00f3gicamente muy dif\u00edcil. En este momento deber\u00edas hacer un an\u00e1lisis y tomar algo de az\u00facar por ejemplo en forma de pastillas de dextrosa, seg\u00fan el resultado.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ciclismo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Usando un CGM podr\u00e1s monitorizar tus niveles en cada momento, y consumir el az\u00facar que necesitas sin dejar de concentrarte en la carretera. De otra forma deber\u00edas <strong>tomar el equivalente a una pastilla de dextrosa cada 10 minutos<\/strong>. Puedes fijarlas con cinta adhesiva en tu manillar o en cualquier otro lugar en tu bici.<\/p>\n<p>Algunos triatletas tambi\u00e9n se llevan su medidor de glucosa en su bici. Esto es especialmente importante en largas distancias, aunque te recomendamos que pares para ello y no lo hagas en plena marcha. Tu seguridad vale m\u00e1s que mejorar tu tiempo.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Running<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>En esta fase ya tendr\u00e1s tu nivel de az\u00facar y energ\u00eda por los suelos y necesitar\u00e1s comer az\u00facar. Prueba con lo equivalente a <strong>dos pastillas de dextrosa cada 30 minutos<\/strong> y analiza tu nivel de glucosa aunque pierdas algunos minutos.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Despu\u00e9s de la carrera<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de la Carrera debes hacer un test cada 2 horas durante el resto del d\u00eda. Puedes tener altibajos como resultado del ejercicio.<\/p>\n<p>Come normal durante la tarde y por la noche y prueba <strong>una dosis de insulina inferior de lo habitual<\/strong> para mantener el
