Zwar gefroren, aber es ist der Arktische Ozean<\/li>\n<li>Von <strong>Guinness World Records<\/strong> anerkannt als der n\u00f6rdlichste Marathon der Welt<\/li>\n<li>Von Runner&#8217;s World Magazine 2004 als der <strong>coolste Marathon der Welt<\/strong> ernannt<\/li>\n<li>Bisher wurden 12 North Pole Marathons abgehalten<\/li>\n<li>Ca. <strong>350 Teilnehmer aus 40 L\u00e4ndern <\/strong>haben diesen Marathon bisher beendet<\/li>\n<li>Es ist unm\u00f6glich die Zeit des Gewinners vorherzusagen, da sich die Wetterbedingungen und das Gel\u00e4nde von Jahr zu Jahr stark ver\u00e4ndern<\/li>\n<li>Die <strong>Rekordzeit der M\u00e4nner<\/strong> wurde 2007 mit <strong>3:36:10 von<\/strong> <strong>Thomas Maguire<\/strong> (IRL) erzielt<\/li>\n<li>Den <strong>Rekord der Frauen<\/strong> setzte die Deutsche <strong>Anne-Marie Flammersfeld<\/strong> mit <strong>4:52:45 <\/strong>im Jahr 2014<\/li>\n<li>Zwei gef\u00fchrte blinde Sportler, Mark Pollock und Jamie Cuthbertson beendeten den Marathon 2004 und 2010<\/li>\n<li>Im Jahr 2007 beendete <strong>William Tan im<\/strong> <strong>Rollstuhl<\/strong> die Marathon Distanz aug dem Flugfeld.<\/li>\n<li>Alle Teilnehmer werden in den exklusiven <strong>Marathon Grand Slam Club<\/strong> aufgenommen um einen Marathon auf allen 7 Kontinenten zu laufen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Alles begann im Jahr 2002<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Der erste North Pole Marathon war ein Sololauf von <strong>Richard Donovan<\/strong>. Richard gewann nur 10 Wochen vorher den ersten S\u00fcdpol Marathon und wurde dadurch zum ersten Marathonl\u00e4ufer der diese <strong>Distanz an beiden Polen beendete<\/strong>. Daraufhin startete Richard Donovan das Unternehmen <em>Polar Running Adventures<\/em> um zuk\u00fcnftig den Marathon am Nordpol zu organisieren. Das Event im Jahr 2004 wurde zu einem gro\u00dfen Erfolg bei dem auch der bekannte Forscher Sir Ranulph Fiennes unter den 15 Teilnehmern war.<\/p>\n<p>Ein Teil des <a title=\"Safesport ID, das Notfallarmband f\u00fcr Sportler\" href=\"http:\/\/www.safesportid.com\/de\/sportarmband\" target=\"_blank\">Safesport ID<\/a> Teams spielt ernsthaft mit dem Gedanken 2016 an diesem Marathon teilzunehmen.
